If you are selling info products online, it is important that your sales material look professional, from the copy writing to the images that you use. It is a well known fact that a product seems more valuable to a consumer when it has an image associated with it. In the case of ebooks, it would be the ebook cover.

To get professional looking ebook covers for your projects you could obviously outsource the ebook cover creation process to a professional grahpic designer. However, this could be a costly process and if you are on a shoestring budget, it might be a better option to create your own graphics.

The versatile GFX Writer makes this quite easy even if you don’t have much artistic flair. It is a lightweight program that is as easy to install as it is to use. You can download it to your computer and run it right from your desktop so you need not be connected to the Internet to use it. The GFX Writer can create header graphics, ebook covers, box covers, CD covers, DVD covers, spiral booklet covers and more. It uses templates that makes it as easy as 123 to create your required graphic and you can save your graphics as either gif or jpg.

You can also save your projects which makes it easy for you to edit or change it if you want to add something to it at a later date.

I needed an ebook cover and a spiral book cover for my projects and I easily created both in less than 10 minutes with the GFX Writer. To start with I downloaded some royalty free stock photos from http://www.sxc.hu/.

Using the GFX Writer I selected the template that I wanted to use e.g. ebook cover, then imported the image that I wanted to use for my ebook cover. Next, I addeds some text to it, added a shadow to the text, previewed it and voila – my ebook cover was created.

This is what the end results look like:

Ebook Cover

Spiral Ebook Cover

Both were created in under 10 minutes. Having a grapic designer create covers like this would have put you back a few hundred dollars. I created mine for nothing. And as you can see, the covers look professional and elegant even though I would not consider myself a graphic artist. As long as you can type and move images around, just about anyone can create ebook covers that they can be proud of!
